    T. Messenger, the rider of MONT EMERAUDE (FR), reported that the mare had a breathing problem.

    The Stewards considered the running of ASTURIENNE ridden by Wayne Hutchinson and trained by A. King, who started favourite and finished unplaced, and having received a report that the trainer was unable to offer any explanation and in the absence of any other relevant information, they decided not to hold an enquiry. The Stewards ordered ASTURIENNE to be routine tested.

    On 10th February, A King, the trainer of ASTURIENNE, which was favourite and finished 3rd beaten approximately 16 lengths , reported that the filly was found to be lame the following morning.
