B J Geraghty, the rider of ACCORDING, reported that the gelding ran too freely in the early stages. The Stewards ordered ACCORDING to be routine tested.
The Stewards considered the running of MERRYDOWN (IRE), ridden by Timmy Murphy and trained by N G Richards, which started favourite and pulled up. Having received a report that the trainer’s representative was unable to offer any explanation, and in the absence of any other relevant information, the Stewards decided not to hold an enquiry. They ordered MERRYDOWN (IRE) to be routine tested.
On 26th March, J A B Old, the trainer of VALID POINT (IRE), reported that the gelding had scoped dirty after the race.

The Stewards gave permission for the fifth fence from home in Race 7 to be by-passed due to damage to the fence.

Wayne Hutchinson, the rider of EROS MOON (IRE), reported that the gelding suffered interference by a faller two furlongs out.
Sam Thomas, the rider of BASFORD LADY (IRE), reported that the mare stopped quickly.
