The Stewards called before them Denis O’Regan, the rider of BLACK APALACHI (IRE), placed second, and enquired into his use of the whip from the last fence. Having heard his evidence and viewed the video recording of the race, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Schedule (B) 6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and without giving his mount time to respond. They suspended him for three days as follows: Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th.
On a report from the Starter that A.L.T. Moore, the Trainer of KING JOHNS CASTLE (IRE) had struck the gelding at the start, the Stewards interviewed the Trainer. Having considered his explanation the Stewards cautioned Mr Moore under Rule (B) 34.3 as to his future conduct.
The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner DON’T PUSH IT (IRE), ridden by A.P. McCoy and trained by Jonjo O’Neill, compared with its previous run at Cheltenham on 18th March where it was pulled up, but having received a report of the trainer’s explanation that on his last run, after getting behind the field, the gelding appeared to lose interest, they decided not to hold an enquiry. The Stewards ordered DON’T PUSH IT (IRE) to be routine tested.

N.A. Twiston-Davies, the Trainer of CARLITOS, reported that the gelding was pulled up lame.
R.C. Guest, the Trainer of EUROPEAN DREAM (IRE), reported that the gelding finished distressed.
Paddy Brennan, the rider of DON’T TURN BACH (IRE) reported that the gelding ran too free.
A.P. McCoy, the rider of AMUSE ME, reported that the gelding had a breathing problem.

Robert Thornton, the rider of Quintessentially (IRE), which pulled up, reported that the gelding was never travelling.
The Stewards considered the running of American World (FR), ridden by Jimmy McCarthy, and trained by B.G. Powell, which started joint favourite and pulled up, but having received a report that the trainer was unable to offer any explanation and in the absence of any other relevant information, they decided not to hold an enquiry. The Stewards ordered American World (FR) to be routine tested.
Jimmy McCarthy, the rider of Psychomodo, which pulled up, reported that the gelding was never travelling.
Robert Thornton, the rider of Rupestrian, which pulled up, reported that the gelding was lame.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Bruslini (FR), which finished third, had been struck into left fore.
M. Beck, the trainer of Saskatoon Lily (IRE), which pulled up, reported that the mare bled from the nose.
Danny Burton, the rider of Festival Dreams, reported that the gelding lost its action.
Ian Popham, the rider of Lansdowne Princess, reported that the mare was never travelling.
David Dennis, the rider of Pirans Car, reported that the gelding finished lame.
